A source close to Aamir said, “Two days ago, Sachin called Aamir to tell him that he recently saw one of his Ghajini posters in a multiplex and he couldn’t help but admire his fit body. In fact, Sachin told Aamir that the actor’s body looked too good to be true. So much so that Sachin thought that Aamir’s body was digitally enhanced to make it look the way it did. Sachin wasn’t ready to believe that Aamir had indeed worked that hard on his physique.”
Incidentally, Aamir and Sachin have been good friends for a long time now after Aamir attended several of Sachin’s matches. Aamir is currently in Hyderabad and he has offered to meet the cricketer to put an end to all his doubts.
When contacted, Aamir Khan confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we had a conversation recently. Like many others, Sachin too was surprised to see my physique. I had to convince him that it was indeed my body that he saw in the posters.”
The source said, “Aamir tried hard to convince Sachin that the poster wasn’t touched up and that he has been working out relentlessly for one-and-a-half years to get the required look. To this, Sachin replied, ‘But I met you during the IPL matches and I didn’t sense that you had this kind of physique. And if you really have this body, you have got to prove it as it’s simply unbelievable.’”
Aamir has agreed to meet Sachin the minute he is back in the city especially as the cricketer insisted that he will believe Aamir only when they actually meet.
“I guess I will have to show him my film. I will do this the moment I complete editing the final version,” said Aamir. When asked about the tips he plans to give Sachin, Aamir laughed and said, “Sachin is one of the fittest men. I am a big fan of Sachin so I’d rather take tips from him when we meet.”
