India vs England 4th ODI

Put your seatbelts on

As Bangalore gets ready to host the first day-night game of the series, England are struggling to stay alive in the series. England are facing a tough challenge, needing to win the remaining four games to clinch the seven-match series.

England coach Peter Moores is looking forward to a winning performance from his team in the crucial fourth one-day international against India starting here on Sunday.

"It is a big game for us. If we lose, we lose the series," Moores told reporters. "We have got to win here. From now on, every game is a final game for us. We need the win to get belief in ourselves." The England coach said he was hopeful the team would put in a better display, especially after a close third match in Kanpur on Thursday when the tourists lost by 16 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis system due to bad light.
England have been dealt a severe blow with left-arm seamer Ryan Sidebottom being ruled out of the series. A genuine swing bowler, the left-armer would have added some change to the largely one-dimensional England pace attack. On the bright side, England have gotten better with every game. The margins of defeats have looked less embarassing, Bopara has impressed at the top of the order and Swann has proved to be a difficult customer for the Indian batsmen. It looks unlikely England will make any changes to their team.

India have recalled master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Irfan Pathan to replace Murali Vijay and RP Singh. Tendulkar is most likely to open the batting with Sehwag while Gambhir will drop down to No. 3, the position he batted in the CB series earlier this year. Suresh Raina or Rohit Sharma might have to sit out to accomodate Tendulkar.
The forecast isn't exactly ideal. Bangalore experienced steady showers on Saturday and rain might play spoilsport on Sunday as well. Incidentally, the last game to be played at Bangalore was abandoned with rain interrupting after Australia had batted out their 50 overs against hosts India. With conditions being overcast and a good chance of the game being a shortened affair, the team winning the toss would want to field first.
