The Black Caps are taking a low key approach to the appearance of Indian maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who comes into the touring side for the first time in today's opening cricket one day in Napier.
Tendulkar sat out the two Twenty-20 matches which New Zealand won and Vettori says they won't be making too much of a fuss about the fact they'll now becoming up against him.
Vettori says they can't afford to focus on an individual as India have several batsmen in their top six are capable to turning a game.
He says Tendulkar may well be a boyhood hero for some of the younger members of the side but they've got to remember they're now playing on the international stage.
