In all Test cricket only Australia's Allan Border (53), New Zealand's John Reid (44) and South Africa's Jacques Kallis (44) have been dismissed 'bowled' on more occasions.
— Sachin Tendulkar was playing his 266th innings in Test cricket - most by any batsman. He was earlier at level with Allan Border with 265 innings.
— Tendulkar, on 30, completed his 13,000 runs in Test cricket. He became the first batsman to reach this milestone.
— VVS Laxman was stumped for only fourth time in his career.
— Shakib Al Hasan completed his 50 wickets with Laxman's dismissal. He became only the fourth Bangladesh bowler to accomplish this feat after Mohammad Rafique (100), Mashrafe Mortaza (78) and Shahadat Hossain (57 -upto the end of first day's play).
— Amit Mishra completed his 2,000 runs in first class cricket playing in his 91st match.
— Shahadat Hossain (4-51) recorded the best figures by a Bangladesh pacer against India.
