In awe of Sachin Tendulkar's magnificent double century, India coach Gary Kirsten described the knock as "best ever" played by a batsman in one-day cricket. "It was the best innings I have ever seen and I take a lot of pride in that. I am proud of being the coach of such a side where everyone is contributing. I am particularly very happy the way things have gone so far," Kirsten said. After playing that whirlwind unbeaten knock of 200, Tendulkar had said, "I have enjoyed the game 2007 onwards and credit goes to Gary. He has held the team beautifully."
