The BCCI recently made it mandatory for international players to undergo fitness tests when they come back from injury layoffs.
Sachin Tendulkar was asked to undergo a fitness test by the BCCI and the master batsman has proved his fitness. On his return from England, Tendulkar went through the paces at the Bandra Kurla Complex on Wednesday. The tests were conducted by Indian team’s newly-appointed physio Nitin Patel. BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah confirmed that the Little Master is fit to resume international cricket. “We’ve received the report and Sachin is fit to go to Sri Lanka,” Shah said.
“I was just asked by the BCCI to test his fitness and I’ve submitted my report,” the physio said.
