IPL 2010 : Mumbai Indians! Duniya Hilla Denge!

Australian captain Ricky Ponting wants to ensure Sachin Tendulkar does not break Brian Lara's world record of highest Test runs against his team and he would do everything possible to prevent him from reaching the milestone.

However, Tendulkar is determined to achieve this feat in the first Test in Bangalore itself, according to the realiable source to the master batsman is to be believed.

"He will score those 77 required runs and more to be on the top of the world in the first Test itself to put additional pressure on Ponting's side. He could dedicate the world record to either late BCCI official Anthony de Mello, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan or statistician Mohandas Menon," the source said.

Interestingly, all these three personalities were born on October 11. De Mello was a pioneer for cricket in India as a founder member of the BCCI. He was also the BCCI president (1946-47 to 1950-51).

Tendulkar is also a great fan of Amitabh Bachchan and would be eager to break the record on October 11 as a birthday present.

He is also not likely to forget statistician Mohandas Menon on this day. Menon has been preserving all of Tendulkar's records carefully. It was Menon who sent Tendulkar's then world record partnership (with Vinod Kambli) to Wisden.

Also, Tendulkar has not forgotten this day, when last year he was dropped from the ODI team for the rest of the Australia series and against Pakistan.

If he does it on October 12 then it's surely going to be exclusively for his daughter Sara as a birthday gift. Earlier, Tendulkar had dedicated his knocks to Sir Don Bradman, his brother Ajit and wife Anjali, while now it may be time for his daughter or the above three.
