IPL 2010 : Mumbai Indians! Duniya Hilla Denge!

Praising master blaster Sachin Tendulkar for his record breakingdouble century against South Africa in the second one-day international at Gwalior on Wednesday, several former and current Pakistani cricketers have described him as the perfect role model for any cricketer.

Former captain and all-rounder Shoaib Malik said it is really amazing to see Tendulkars zeal and hunger for scoring more runs despite spending over 20 years on the international arena.

For any cricketer he is the perfect role model. The great thing about him is that he has been outstanding in both Tests and ODIs. As a Pakistan player, I know how much value we have always put on his wicket, Mailk said.

One of Pakistans most talented and successful players, Javed Miandad said he always used to ask Pakistani cricketers to learn from Tendulkars down to earth attitude, hard work and passion for the game.

I think he thoroughly deserves this record and many more in days to come.Whatever he is achieving today is because of his top physical and mental condition. He simply enjoys the game even today, The Daily Times quoted Miandad, as saying.

Now-a-days big scores are common but it doesnt take away anything from Tendulkar because his achievement must be viewed in context of his whole career, he added.

Another ex-captain Ramiz Raja described Tendulkar as the most consistent batsmen the world has ever seen.

The way he is still scoring runs and breaking records is awesome and a lesson for the cricketing world. The unique thing is his passion for the game. He is still like a 10-year old and that is very important to keep on going at the top level, Raja said.

He said that Tendulkars hunger for more runs is incredible, which was due to his sheer determination and interest in the game.

This latest record is not surprising at all. I loved watching him bat and I think he still has a lot more to give to India and cricket, Raja added.

Former Pakistan opener Aamir Sohail said : The rule is simple when you give respect
to the game, then only the game will give you respect.
