Naidu too for Sachin's Bharat Ratna

 Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu today joined the chorus for conferring the country's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna on cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar.

"Every Indian is proud of Sachin. He has done wonderful work as a cricketer. There is nothing wrong in conferring Bharat Ratna on him," Naidu told reporters at a special interaction at the NTR Bhavan here today.

The TDP chief said conferring the highest civilian award on a legendary sportsman like Sachin would inspire people to perform better and serve the nation more. "It is a good occasion to honour him with the award. Many others will get inspired and follow in his footsteps and bring glory to the country," he added.

"Every kid these days is dreaming of becoming a cricketer. It's good but other games should also be equally encouraged," he added
