Mumbai: With yet another mauling by the Mumbai Indians, the IPL III seems like a cruise for Sachin Tendulkar's wonderboys. Though the Mumbai Indians looked off colour for most part of the first half, they still managed an emphatic win over the Deccan Chargers.
When the chips were down, Harbhajan Singh played the innings of his life that changed the game in a matter of minutes.
Now with five wins under their belt and eight league matches still to come, a semi-final spot for the Mumbai Indians is more or less guaranteed. Generally, it takes eight wins for a team to make it to the final four of the IPL, which means Mumbai have to win only three games out the next eight.
With the kind of form Mumbai Indians have shown this year, it should be a cakewalk for them. And three of their remaining eight games, will be played in front of the vociferous Mumbai crowd in Tendulkar's den.
Mumbai will play the beleaguered Kings XI Punjab next, who will be without their skipper Kumar Sangakkara. A golden chance for Mumbai to get one step closer to the final four stage.
However, Tendulkar will hope his team doesn't fall prey to complacency as fortunes can change quickly in this game.
