Royal Challengers Bangalore think tank had planned to attack Mumbai Indians' lynchpin Sachin Tendulkar by bowling more in-swingers, said pacer Vinay Kumar after playing a key role in his side's comprehensive seven-wicket win in an Indian Premier League tie here today.
"We had planned to bowl more in-swingers to Tendulkar.
Most Indian batsmen are uncomfortable facing in-swingers," said the Karnataka bowler after grabbing three wickets in one over, including that of Tendulkar, to put his side on top.
Kumar's triple strike in the 11th over of Mumbai innings helped RCB break the backbone of the home side innings which ended at a meagre 151 for nine after electing to bat.
RCB easily surpassed the target by making 155 for three in 19.1 overs after in-form openers Manish Pandey (40) and man of the match Jacques Kallis (66 not out) forged a stand of 85 in 9.
