IPL 2010 : Mumbai Indians! Duniya Hilla Denge!

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar will soon be seen on TV screens appealing Mumbaikars to save water as the city grapples with acute water shortage, top civic officials said.

"The advertisement featuring Sachin is ready and has got clearance from Censor Board as well. It should be out soon. The official announcement in this regard will be made within a couple of days," the official said.

The cricket icon last month shot the 30-second film, urging people to use water judiciously in an advertisement campaign for the local civic body.

Tendulkar spreads the message of saving water in Hindi and Marathi. In Marathi he says, 'Paani wachwa, Mumbai jagwa' and in Hindi the message says, 'Paani ki raksha, Mumbai ki Suraksha' (save water, save Mumbai).

The advertisement did face some hurdles after Leader of the House Sunil Prabhu during the Standing Committee meeting had last month said, "Common man should feature in the film instead of a celebrity."

On similar lines BJP's Yogesh Sagar had asked, "In Mumbai maximum people do not use shower, how can the message be accepted by common man if Sachin talks about shower."

"Things have been sorted out and have got clearance," the official said.
